About Coolpo

How we got here
We did not set out to build cameras.
Coolpo started in 2016 as an algorithm company working on omnidirectional perception — teaching machines to make sense of everything happening around them at once, rather than whatever sits straight ahead. We led several world-leading projects in it.
In 2019 we pointed that work at a room we were sitting in every day.
A conference camera faces one way. The people in the room carry on as normal. The people dialling in get a fixed wide shot and work out from the audio who just spoke. That is not a video-quality problem. It is a framing problem — and framing is what omnidirectional perception was built for.
Not a sharper webcam. Not a bigger screen. A camera that understands the room it is in, and gives the far end the same meeting everyone else is having.
